Emma started dancing at the age of 3 years old in Thunder Bay, ON. At the age of 18 years old she moved to Toronto to educate herself and train as a professional dancer. 

 

Emma completed the Commercial Dance Program at George Brown College in Toronto. At George Brown, she trained in jazz, hip hop, ballet, modern, musical theatre, vocal, and acting. Emma was the recipient of the Faculty Award at George Brown. 

 

She continued to take master classes from top instructors in Toronto and learned about the commercial dance industry. Emma was then introduced to Army of Sass by Carla Catherwood and fell in love with heels training. Emma trained and taught classes with AOS Toronto, Etobicoke, Vaughn, Newmarket, Mississauga and Thunder Bay as well as with a professional heels dancing company called Sensual Heeling under the direction of Kaela Faloon.

 

In her career as a performer, Emma has had many stage performances. Notable performances include the opening ceremonies of the Pan American Games with Cirque du Soilel, the 6th annual HUM Awards, the Canadian Dance Awards launch, Creativiva, Makeup Forever launch, The MAS Fest, the Nutcracker with Ballet Jorgen, Jesus Christ Superstar with Sam Migliazza performing for artists, DJs, with Army of Sass, Sensual Heeling, Nuit Blanche, Seneca Pulse Grand Opening in New York and more.

 

Emma has a strong passion for teaching dance to people of all ages and all levels. Emma has taught and choreographed for Army of Sass Etobicoke, Vaughn, Newmarket, Mississauga and Thunder Bay, classes at The Pink Studio Toronto and currently holds weekly drop-in classes in Thunder Bay. Emma is also the co-creator of Next Level Workshop with Angelica Migliazza, which inspires young dancers and gives them an insight into being a professional dancer. Emma has taught in studios and choreographed numerous competition dances in jazz, contemporary, hip hop, musical theatre and recently taught Hip Hop to the kids of the Fort William First Nation & Pic Mobert First Nation.

 

Since being in Thunder Bay, Emma directed and produced a show called Here & Now, a local showcase that is a charity fundraiser featuring all local performers including dancers, singers, musicians, and actors. Emma hopes to produce another Here & Now show soon. She has also been nominated as the Best Dancer in the Walleye Magazine, 2 years in a row.

Emma continues to work with dancers in weekly drop in classes, with competitive dancers and on other exciting projects locally.
